McKellar skillfully brings the characters to life, and she clearly knows not only the technical details of living and working on a boat, but also the heady thrill of life at sea. New adventures are on the horizon in this adventure series.

Synopsis
“Too good! I couldn’t put it down.” — Robyn Campbell-Ouchida, editor
Quinn Anne Carrigan, attractive and innocent, finds herself adrift after she moves from her Boston home to the hedonistic, sun-drenched world of Miami, Florida. Along with her ditzy girlfriend, Cyndi, she finds herself being sucked into a downward spiral of partying and drug use that leaves her desperate to find some purpose for her life. What she inadvertently discovers is a heady mix of adventure, romance, and near disaster when she is hired as a cook for a three-man crew that’s delivering a yacht from Miami to Negril, Jamaica.
The scheduled six-day trip aboard the Zephyr, a forty-foot sloop, turns out to be anything but routine. On her second day at sea, Quinn accidentally sets the galley on fire. Captain Tommy’s quick thinking saves the yacht from going up in smoke, but that’s only the very beginning of a series of misadventures that await the crew of the Zephyr. Along with the sexy Jamaican Noah, and the ill-fated Chip, who barely survives a shark attack, Quinn finds she has literally set out on a voyage that will take her to uncharted destinations and embroil her in a taboo love affair.
